On the subject of spamming. Maybe /vote mute thresholds and the resulting mute should apply account-wide? Does it already? That would stop a spammer from being able to avoid a mute by switching alts.

Der is one example. You need to look no further than your own guild to see where the problem lies. Pretty sure I saw a thread about someone sitting in a trident in Deneb taking up the only reloading spot Serco have in the system? Don't fucking complain to me when you have nobody to shoot in places where your guild is exploiting.

End alts and force players to play with some conviction instead of jumping alts and abusing the system. Nationalism, neutrality, are bogus within the current system.
1. I think the devs have made it quite clear over the 10+ years of this game's existence that there is zero intention to force any kind of gameplay. They merely offer guidance through tweaks and changes. No forcing.
2. Using multiple accounts/characters to take advantage of different aspects of gameplay is inherent in VO. It gives people a reason to continue to subscribe and play. What you seem to think is "abuse", i.e. observation bots, I would counter and say it's just smart use of the games features. In other words, the definition of abuse of multiple characters is subject to a enormous range of interpretation.
Force people to play by the rules of their nation instead of circumventing them with little care. One account would be full, unrestricted access, the other 5 would become in-active lite accounts. Lower the cost of the full account to say 7USD. Allow a grace/transition period of say 6 months per account.
This would reduce:
* 100 spamming (you should have to pay .99 month minimum to spam 100)
* abuse of nationalism
* force the player to play their nation/role with some conviction, if only for a month at a time

2. It's quite funny to see the king of 100 spamming complain about 100 spamming. I have you on the record admitting you would happily pay the subscription every month to spew hate and be an asshole on 100. That's pretty much the definition of abuse. Get some help, dude.

Since you did not explain what you meant by alts being related to spam, I tried to think of a way alts could be used to spam in a way that couldn't be defeated by using /ignore. Then I asked you if that was what you meant or if you meant something else. If getting around /ignore was not what you meant, you should have said so at that time. But you didn't. Instead, after my asking you to explain what you were complaining about, you told me I already knew what you were talking about. I took that to mean that my guess was right.

the whole idea is bullshit. VO is dependant on the impression that there are people playing. if we limited alts or completely removed them, the rather small player numbers would become obvious and thus making more newbies go back to playing the games they play on their smartphone in class.

Did it ever occur to you that the small player base of mostly vets may actually be the problem? I should clarify, I'm not advocating getting rid of them entirely as I've alluded to in my post to Deathspores. Sieg, this isn't about the current state of the game. Suggestions are intended to change/improve the game so don't recite the current gameplay as though it's not broken.
