I'm pretty sure we (I?) have been asking for that feature waaaaay before Android was a glint in Googles eyes. If security is a concern, I'm pretty sure it's easier to lose a phone/tablet than it is a PC.

I see no reason we cannot have it if Android users do!

This sort of thing increases the amount of "I forgot my password!" issues that come up.

So? That's what the automated password reset feature is for.

Once apon a time you didn't need to validate your email address for VO, and when that was the case I'd agree with you ARF. Like Pizza said; there is an automated password recovery.

The security concern is much more about the ability of software to read your password, when saved, then from you "losing" your PC. For instance, a plugin might even be able to exploit something.

We implemented the passwords on mobile with some thought and care; they're written to a special system region, and encrypted. I'm not saying we couldn't do something on PC, but any kind of security problem would be blamed on us.. despite stored-password systems just not being very secure at the best of times.

And, unlike mobile, you have a great big attached keyboard, allowing you to quickly type in your password.

Not to be a brown-noser but I agree with Incarnate on this point because if my password was lost I would DEFINITELY blame it all on Guild Software. Lucky, it sounds like this will never happen.
