MAKE GAME FREE TO PLAY FOR ALL PLATFORM
Idea to make the game FREE for every platform on the basis of real Advertisement that displayed Hologram screen around the Space Stations.
The Hologram Ads Banners attract every players. I like to see the futuristic advertise banner. By the way, there are Hologram Ads Banners around the Space Stations but they are not real. That can be switch to real time ads for free users. For Premium user, there should be option to on or off real Ads as per their choice.
Making game free to play will attract more new players and also surely increase more Premium user. Currently this game allows only 5 minutes free to play on Windows (I don't know about other device) that no newbie can understand this game within 5 minutes game play. Also, making game free to play with Ads will sure make this game popular.
This little idea may not be like some players, but they can be premium. But this make play freely to those player who love this game and want to play on Windows (or any other non free platform), but cannot afford to pay, like me. currently I am playing this game on Android that is free on it, but i want to play on Windows when my Android's battery low ;)

You can play on PC for $1/mo if you make the payment via Android.

Actually if you start off on Windows/Mac/Linux, you get a free trial that is eight hours long. The five minute thing is probably only if you're trying to play on PC with a free mobile account.

I can't imagine $1 per month is too much money for someone who owns a tablet/smartphone and a PC.
Hologram banners will not monetize well enough to keep us fed and clothed, basically.
Advertising is rough. In order to make the economics work, we would have to (at a minimum) keep a full-time banner in the station/PDA UI (and maybe also the HUD), and probably have a full interstitial (click-through full-screen pop-up banner) every time you dock.. and maybe more than that (mandatory video interstitials, etc).
Because the economics of advertising suck so much, we would have to brutally saturate the game with ads, in ways that guarantee constant exposure. Needless to say, this would be aesthetically craptastic and also interactively irritating (clicking through interstitials whenever you dock, oops mis-click, now VO is minimizing and your browser is now loading some advertised website).
It would be "neat" if I could go to Coca-Cola or someone and say "hey, I'll give you holographic banner locations in my game for $100k", but that wouldn't happen unless we had a massive userbase, and even then it would be a tough sell.. as advertisers prefer something with a direct feedback mechanic (like impressions, or clicks) to say how their strategy is working.
I know everyone wants the game for free, but even with our small team and relatively low overhead (Milwaukee! Not San Francisco!), we still need to eat, and have a warm place to sleep in the winter.
I have considered ads to augment the F2P model, but it would so degrade the user experience, and give such a poor representation of our game, that I'm.. reluctant, to say the least.

Just ask for a friend key in game, plenty of people (me included) would be willing to give you one. If you can't find a way to get $1/month after that, I would consider finding a way to keep your android device plugged in while playing, to preserve battery.

And its right that ads should be direct to any link, that's ridiculous to get interrupted during play. Its good to be ad free may be.
