Like the title says. Ok, not a big deal for most, but sometimes I get KOS own nation before combat 1. You cannot bot in other nation spaces for beginner combat, even though you can for advanced (I dont mind killing players for combat 3, but its hard and gives no weapon XP). Also I saw a few other guys travel to gray space, home there and not want to fly back to Sol II or wherever but yet they cannot level further without it.

Sure you maybe have this to try keep new guys in their own space, but it's not cool, and it doesn't work.

Perhaps you shouldn't be getting KOS with your own nation until you level up a bit?

Finishing the beginner combat mission takes a few hours or so if you just keep blasting bots until your done.

Advantages to staying in your own nation capital space are many. No ion storms, bot sectors are labeled, plus your own nations players normally can't damage you. (hint: if your UIT, use UIT / TPG stations)

Flying out to grey space to level up is a dumb idea, especially when your new. You don't need to,, unless you want to risk it to get a better ship since Corvus has lower requirements for ships and such vs your own nation.

Personally I think the devs have better things to do with their time than work on this.

It's not like it would take a long time to do, it's simply removing a flag from the mission.

Please tell me why 5 seconds work makes it too much?

Doesn't it let you do Beginner Combat Practice in Odia if you're native KOS?

No, you can take the mission. But no bot kills count. You get a message saying "For the purpose mission, you have to be in *faction space"

Didn't realize that Yoda. Sounds like a bug to me then.

So, if you do get KOS with your own nation and get dumped to Corvus then the beginning combat missions should allow you take and complete the mission from there. (bot kills counted from grey)

A player should be able to leave their home nation and have a method of raising combat levels outside of their nation space whether they are KOS at home or not.
