Anything for a trident should be 20-25+ grid and weigh at least 50,000kg
I assume you mean this to be for the large port rather than a turret, since there are already pretty good turret weapons. As such, it should also have outstanding auto aim and range due to the poor maneuverability of the trident.
Personally, I'd like something like a rail weapon rather than energy with extremely high impact damage, quick delay and high capacity.

Seems like you want a one shot per ship kill type weapon. Suggest you go grab a EC-89 with some avalons and park it 50m away from a roid and shoot said roid. After you get done exploding a bunch of times maybe your head will clear up.

I want a weapon I can attack other tridents with. It should be absurd for a small ship to face off against a trident when you have the entire length and back to attack from
We need beam cannons back - make them L port trident exclusive.

reduce the damage to 8000 and give it 25 shots with no more aim than an advanced railgun with deathfluffy's grid and weight. And, let it reload a bit faster than the railguns, but still require a trigger pull per shot. It's be nice if you could get some quick shots fired in succession, but still need a teammate to take down the shields on an enemy trident.
Make a second large port version for smaller ships with four pre-loaded quick firing shots @5000 damage just for fun :)

210 is insanely fast
Make is slow so fighters only can be killed by it by being idiots but likely to hit a dent with a long delay!
It should be like the Phase Transit Cannon from the TCS Concordia!

Old beam cannons dealt 10k damage per hit, with a range of 2000m.
As energy based weapon, beam cannons do not use ammo.
Their shots look cool and they have a really fun zzzzzing sound.
I don't exactly remember the original stats but Inc knows, he made them. :)
Beam cannons were originally turreted weapons on HACs so I suppose we could have them as a kind of a gat 2 firing cone L port trident weapon.
Having limited shots on a cap ship is a bit far fetched.
Cap ships have armories and can hold infinite ammo for their guns.

The beam cannons had crazy auto aim which makes me hate them. Every thing should be dodge able somehow.

If we want a cap weapon to attack other tridents then straight firing should do.
I think that some sort of a small targeting cone should be present, not enough to track a light fighter but maybe a slight chance to catch some heavy missile rag.

Don't be so sure, they apparently didn't keep track of a number of different things they made and changed/removed over the years. Pre-speed cap ship stats, for one.

beam cannons still exist, go to a newb sector as not a newb heh
