Serco Home Front Defense Force

It doesn't take much for an Itani trident to fly into the Serco training sector and lobs avalons from a safe distance all night long(Max Lulz did it last night). Since this won't change as no space is safe in the game , I propose that a defense force be convened.

Defense force members of POS serco standing would be paged by the game that a cap ship has invaded the serco training sector. Members of this force would not be shot at by turrets when in sector. They would be then free to engage the enemy cap ship. This force would be opt in only.

Serco's are not pussies, don't complain; fight back.

Well you can't really fight back with your training lasers and you can't track where the trident jumps to since the noobs^Wtrainees aren't going to help you.

What about this:

Whenever a KOS ship enters nation space / enters a monitored section, a message is broadcasted on the nation channel that "X has entered Initros 0-12 in Trident SmurfPower (100% health)". This makes sense from a RP perspective (the sector is monitored anyway, so why would they not broadcast an alarm? ) and doesn't break any of the normal rules.

(frankly, I don't understand why they don't just call the training sector a simulator and be done with the whole automatic laser bullcrap - since you can interact with other trainees I guess that would make the training sector an embedded space MMORPG :) )

This isn't a role play forum. This is a forum for suggestions.

I still say no. Why would only Serco have this buff and no other nation? Also it's not like the player can kill much but NPC's while there. It's not up to players to police space. That is what the defence forces are for. If them things are not working as well as expected, they should be buffed. Players are not, and never will be the official police of VO. Especially because that could be abused too.

Also no.

I suggest letting the strongest guild in the game blow it up... TGFT!

Having turrets in GR O-4 would help for starters.

If anything, last night showed that the defence turrets could use another buff in damage, or perhaps a decrease in shot delay.

The defense force you speak of is called a guild. The annoyance of having newbs attacked in the training sector could do with addressing, though. I'm pretty sure newbs can't be attacked (or maybe I'm just thinking of serco-serco attacks?), but as displayed in another thread, the connie can. Either way it can be disruptive for newbs just starting out. Just have incarnate up the beam cannon damage to 4.5 quadrillion and 50k range and that will solve that issue for good.

I wonder why some individuals go as far as destroying completely new players in the training sector, discouraging them to play this game any further. That is the most stupid thing you could do.

You can't kill newbies in the training sector. We tried. All weapons are nerfed to 1 damage per hit. Dunno why but this suggestion is pretty moot since you can't really have an impact there.
Sep 27, 2015 abortretryfail link
Yeah the devs already fixed that and they buffed the living heck out of the beam cannons there.

If you're flying a Trident into hated nation space just to launch avalons at the training sector, the odds are pretty high you're going to lose your ship for what basically amounts to a silly prank.

All of you who're boohooing about "I want the defense turrets to be water-tight like a frog's butthole" should go get a power cell blaster and try to score some easy kills. Play the game. Don't demand that the devs make the NPCs play it for you.

In fact we did play the game. Before we could get a power cell blaster equipped ship in place said trident start doing rapid sector jumps even though we were mere split seconds behind it.

As soon as he realized we had both wormholes sufficently covered to block escape, he opted to log.

Now I understand you guys who have been playing forever are bored because you are almost all Itani and there are very few people playing Serco for you to fight and most of them are on mobile but really?

80% of you run when you get close to being killed because you are worried about some kill/death ratio that in reality means nothing other than you are good at running away, that's fine if it's important to you.

The biggest problem with this game is the player base. There are some decent people on all sides, but for the most part it is a bunch of bullies that want to be the "best", that exploit whatever loophole they can figure out instead of actually being good at the game as it is. If you want to play that way, fine but understand that the game is going to continue to lose players especially new ones from this type of play.

I personally am going to keep playing to get better, that is not the attitude of new players as most of them are on mobile and without help they are just going to quit as they see it as impossible to get anywhere.

Take this as you will and I'm sure there will be opposing opinions but as someone who has been playing a little over a year those are my observations.

Aving noobs right out of the game must be pretty gratifying for 5 seconds. I look forward to hearing you little punks cry about not having Serco to shoot at. We did chase Wes and he did logoff like the sorry shitstain on Keirky's pink panties that he is.

This is more an Itani problem than Serco's in the end.

+1 to turrets in GR and Betheshee.

Putting turrets at Geira O4 just makes sense. I'm not convinced about Betheshee though.

Lol stop threatening to quit the game and just quit already, Ore. You're not wanted here.
