Just to remind you that tri-KOS chars cannot collect bounties.
We should get at least some reward for killing bounty hunters while having a bounty on our head.

couldn't you barter the helmets/whatever to another player who can collect the bounties? Every players helmet still has value to one faction or another, UIT helmets could be rewarded for by Corvus, just like itani to serco and vice versa

Simple: put a Marshall at M14 that anyone can use.

"... No."

So trading contraband slaves is probably not gonna happen either?

Requiring a trophy of some sort to collect bounties would tie in nicely with a previous suggestion for Player-sponsored bounties.

I like the idea of a each player v player kill dropping a flight recorder, that displays some pertinent information about the kill: who was killed, who killed them, when, where, any associated bounty value, and could even include information about what ship each player was flying.

By default, flight recorders might not have any significant resell value, except in special cases, for example, where there is an associated bounty, the recorder would sell a station for at least the bounty value.

A flight recorder, is evidence. Evidence of a right to collect bounty, and/or, evidence of a crime. If you are a pirate/griefer, the flight recorder might not be worth anything to you, except that you might not wish to leave a bread crumb trail of flight recorders in your wake, for some vengeful soul to follow.

If this becomes a thing, please put the player's name at the end of the item name rather than the front, so that when sorting our inventories alphabetically, they'd all be lumped together and not causing clutter.
