Mentor system facelift

First of all, most new players have no idea the mentor system even exists. Perhaps there could be a brief description about it in a training mission or even its own do nothing mission to explain it all.
Second, and in conjunction, most new players are already at level 3 by the time they learn enough about the game that they want a mentor. I suggest that the top level for mentoring be raised to 4 in any skill. This gives better reward to f2p newbs who can get there faster without losing so many ships and crystals and also give more chance for those wishing to mentor to get pupils.

Aye, very few people have access to buy UCs from stations, unlocking them is a feat that takes either months or a hell of a lot of ALT usage. Giving more infomation to new players about the mentor system and/or raising the level cap for them. +1

My thoughts:

1. Increase the mentor limit from level 3 to level 4.

2. At level 3, prompt the user about the mentor system.

3. Apply a bonus modifier to experience/license points gained while you have a mentor. Example +20%.

This encourages players to use the mentor system by increasing awareness and providing an incentive to seek out a mentor.

I think the most important thing the mentor system needs is MORE INFO-- a mission, or whatever-- but as a new player, I am so confused about the mentor system, I haven't even tried to use it. Mostly I'm confused about WHEN you can rate a mentor.

That's the most important thing, but this post also has a lot of good ideas:
