I would like to see an enemy drop the occasional add-on that was tweaked by its last owner, or proto evolved by the hives. The rarer the better. It would make thing interesting when an enemy leaves behind some bright pulsing box and everyone in range is scrambling to pick it up, ninja loot it or something. If its one of a kind its special, but non reproducible in mass quantitiese. So you lose it if you die until you bring it home and gain exclusive rights to its manufacture non tradeable unless you sell the proto and its rights to someone else. It doesn't have to be new weapons yet, just tweaked current ones
