GS employees participate in a PewChatDie interview

Apr 19, 2016 Savet link
Vendetta On-air (https://www.youtube.com/user/VendettaOnAir) is currently the best player-to-player promotion for Vendetta Online.

I propose that all current Guild Software employees set aside their deliverables for an hour or two to answer questions on PewChatDie as a group, and give players a chance to hear Guild Software engage with their player base as a group.

This is also an excellent opportunity for Musabi to get some voice-time with the player base so we can get to know the newest developer in GS.

I further propose that instead of a 1v1 combat normally practiced at the end of PCD episodes, there be a group fight with GS employees on one team and an equal sized team put together by TheLazyDJ in an epic showdown between Guild Software and the players that support them. No dev-invincibility, mass-hacking, or super-ships.

the most interesting update in the last few months was 1000 guild member limit and border turrets in Geira

they don't need more wasteful tasks

No, I think the most interesting update was the immersive VR docking bay and cockpit.

That would be the most interesting update if the Rift or Vive actually supported Linux and Mac. As it is, the VR stuff is just glorified concept art to many of us. Not that this is Guild's fault, and I don't at all resent them doing what they can with what little they've been given.

+1; one or two hours of the dev's work time is an easy thing to let fly in face of publicity. Truthfully, how would the devs not be working? ANYTHING that helps VO is within their arena of "work".

I'm also kinda curious how the devs would compare to the game's best pilots in terms of a group furball... tell me you aren't?

Some of us are already familiar with how the Devs fare in combat. The answer has always been poorly, sometimes even when things like Superbuses are involved and always when they are not. I had an extensive collection of conc rails back before they were actually available in-game, courtesy of Ray and Inc often dropping them when they died.

Dr Lecter, I would rather the devs spawn a bunch of queens or serco capships to destroy while they are online instead of pvp with lazydj. Plus, a channel could be created to take questions and maybe a group to listen to the audio. Although, the group limit would need to be increased ;)

+1 for this to be a monthly fun dev event. I'm almost tempted to do this myself through twitch if they'd agree and lazydg wasn't willing. That said, if I can be part of the audio stream, there might be a way to stream it (but I tend to die a lot, so the stream could end up with me flying from the station back to the queens a lot)

bump, I'll send them a VOA patch when it's all said and done... if I could ever get this machine to make a patch without needles flying past my face

It's a well known fact that if you kill Inc when he's trying to test shit, he Dev kills you "out of extreme prejudice" .. best fun I ever had. lol

Who here has actually seen that in-game? Anyone?

Basically this ^ :(

+1, I'd like to see one of the devs do an interview + duel. :)
Last time I fought Inc in B-8 was a few years ago and it was a fun fight. He's not an amazing duelist or anything but certainly better than your average noob. I think I had a ship advantage. Vulture MkIII vs Vulture Anniversary Edition.

As an aside, John recently did do what basically amounts to a feature-film-length interview with the "Space Game Junkie" podcast crew:

Phaser, this is excellent. I am listening to it now. But advertising is about saturation. The goodness of this interview doesn't negate the goodness that would be achieved by an all-dev PCD episode.

Thanks for sharing Phaserlight, that's a great listen!
Edit: A++ work Wash
