How on earth is it something the size of a queen able to dodge missiles more aptly than a skilled pilot in a light fighter? I can more easily hit any assault variant bot. Could we have the ship behave more like it's size?

Lecter is absolutely correct. Learn the queen's moves, try to predict her future moves, and you'll be able to easily plough her.

Queens are weird, but its still easy to pull the panties on them. Just send off your explosive flowery gift of swarms well stacked AFTER she turns.

It takes practice, but soon you will own a fine collection, sir!

Also, make sure to turn auto-aim off. Missiles seem to work better for me that way. Oh and start your bombing run at around 17-1800m when she is heading your direction. If you are doing static queens it's a good idea to get a feel for her pattern and position yourself near one of her stop points, wait until she's heading that general direction again and then start your bombing run.

The problem is the way the missiles attempt to predict the path of the queen, who when hunting the wild'uns have a tendency to pull a 180 turn often. So, it is as these guys have said, watch the queen, sit at 3000 m, and let her go back and forth a good three or four times, and think about how long itll take to approach etc, and its all trial and error. Play, experience, learn, and become a badass. That is the path to greatness, padawan.

Queens have insane thrust, true. But without it they would be too easy and we'd be asking for harder queens...so....

I think all in all, bots are good the way they are. I've never had a problem queening. Sure, you'll meet the odd Queen (especially in Levi sectors) and then you pull a perfect stack but the shields don't crack. But at second try, it usually works then.

I'll rather fly back and reload and shoot a second stack than the bots being tweaked so they get boring.

This thread reminds me of when I was helping someone with a levi. The big guy was spinning faster than a spinning top, and moving at 7m/s, AND ontop of that, it wasn't in the lair where it was supposed to be.
