Add a mission that would allow you to manufacture a capital ship upgrade. After the mission, your Goliath/Trident/Capella will have permanently lost 200cu of cargo space in exchange for the ability to launch assault drones directly from your ship.

When your ship explodes the upgrade will explode with it regardless of insurance.

+1 changing cargo permanently is hard tough. better its a 200 cu item which cannot be jettisoned (like ships and go lost when ship goes boom).

See now that's a great expansion of an idea.

Ships similar to furies (vulture, valkyrie, marauder) take up around 150cu cargo space.
If you want to put 3 furies in your goliath or trident = 450cu space.
