New Guass variant
Essentially, I'm thinking of a lighter guass variant that needs levi drops to build. Same stats as the mk3, just lighter. It'll make guass a really powerful weapon in combat, but hard to get, so it can't just be used willy-nilly.
I think 650kg is good. What do ya think?

up energy cost to cover for lost passive weapon cooling system? Also, I'd rather it gain another 100kg to the proposed weight. 650kg sounds like paper for a gauss cannon.

+1 to a zero autoaim Gauss cannon. Call it the Gauss Cannon HV. Zero auto aim, but much faster velocity..

if you are manufacturing the gauss MKlV, why should it require level 12 combat to equip?
