If they add a f2p tier for PC, a lot of people could abuse that system to get higher tier ships/weapons while not actually paying anything. Adding a f2p tier might "Not" directly remove the $10 sub, but it would make it a LOT harder to convince people to shell out that $10 (or even $1) every month.

So adding a f2p tier would only serve to take away paying subs. I think you do not see the bigger picture, and until you accept that, you will be stuck in a rutt convinced your idea is the saviour of VO. You are wrong.

If Vo has a f2p mode on pc, that wouldn't work. In England, the like, 60p a sub cost is less than most sweets. It's dirt cheap. Furthermore, a lot of people will abuse f2p on the computer.

To be honest, a 50% discount on the lite sub for a year would work well, it's the cost of a coffee and will last quite a while, but GS is better at this than almost everyone in the game. Trust in their business skills, they have qualifications that we don't.

Even though the $1 won't effect them that bad like you said it doesn't mean that you are the only person who buys it. They probably have tons of recorded purchases off of that option. And making it free to play for PC would cause more problems for some of their other users. 1. A lot of mobile new players and some old would complain because a rep PC player would be at an all time advantage (they already are) at pvp.

Even then it isn't even worth it because most people who play on PC can past they f2p limit within the 8 hour trial so f2p would be only used by a very few people (1-4) which would make this change a big waste of time.

And what if they were released on steam..imagine all the new PC players coming in. A lot of people can deal with the crystal limit so who's to say they will buy the $10 premium that will be left... so then by removing that $1 option you then prevent any "quick and easy" purchases coming in. Because in my opinion if there was a $1 option vs a $10 I would pick the 1.
