Bribe the station

Anyone can be corrupted. Let us bribe station officials to launch any logged in player. Different stations will have different prices for this kind of "mission". Bribing station officials in starter systems will cost in the billions and the price will go down from there.

Sounds like a great way to needlessly harass pilots or shop/utility bots. Haulers who've just docked to evade a pirate, just being forcibly ejected the instant they dock cause the pirate would rather lose the credits to shoot that pilot, for instance? Also, what happens to someone forcibly ejected when they don't have a ship [as in, they were JUST killed, sent back to home, and chose to not buy their ship back] active or any in the station? If allowed, you're just farming PKs.

How about a limit - said pilot must have been docked for longer than 5 minutes?

Still, ~why~ would you want to force-eject pilots like this?

"because VENDETTA a PVP game." No it isnt, "Vendetta Online is a 3D space combat MMORPG for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS, as well as the Oculus Rift." (says nothing about PvP in this).

I mean it also says "Users may build their characters in any direction they desire, becoming rich captains of industry, military heroes, or outlaws." so if they want to run and hide in a station, this is a valid play style.

I get why you would want this, I kind of do too. I mean, most of ya'll hide in stations from me at one point or another in your history. But this is a silly idea that only silly people would consider, and I may not have the maximum respect that I probably should have for the developers, but even I know they are far from silly people.

What is the next suggestion? Summoning off-line players so you can kill them too? So they escaped, or are a shop-bot or a spy; sure annoying - but how about finding someone else to take that frustration out on? You can then play "pass the blame".

Meh. I see no value added in this. Like Luxen pointed out, PK farming. I feel as if there is much better things to worry about...like whatever they are doing.

well it's not all a bad idea, I like the part about the bribery but I don't think ejecting someones ship seems doable by a station hand, and as pointed above seems like a way to PK farm.

maybe you can bribe them to damage a docked players ship? a sort of temporary negative buff on maybe like thrust or top max speed.

The success of a bribery attempt itself could be dependent on chance, if successfull the player has a ship stat reduced by a certain % temporarily(an hr?) and if it fails,i.e the person accepting the bribe gets caught, the briber not only loses money but a decent amount of faction standing.

It should not be doable at all in any nation space, should cost a considerable amount in normal faction stations in grey like those of aeolus or something and should be cheapest at corvus.

I agree with a roll of a dice chance. There should be danger in everything. I disagree with not allowing it to happen in nation space. As I said in in the OP, it should just cost higher (like in the billions or something). And make the chance of it failing even higher.

Anyone mentioning PK farming doesn't understand the impact of the credits limiting this. Say each attempt at a Corvus station costs a pilot 20 mil credits. Do you seriously think someone is going to sit there paying off the station 20 mil credits for attempt to pk farm an individual? I think not. Five attempts (not guarantees) and you're out 100 mil. You'd be better off paying a shopbot to come out over and over.

i doubt ANYBODY in VO would ever pay 20m to just be able to shoot at someone else. that seems more pointless than pk farming, when its been long established that deaths in the game don't matter at all
