Crystal Feedback

A Premium sub player dropping down to lite sub will not be able to access their goliath or anything in m7 unless they reduce their cargo in m7 to below 10k cu. Or purchase the required crystal. (i assume this is by design maybe?)

I suggest that Premium subscribers be able to collect crystal just like lite subscribers can. That way if they drop down to lite that are not completely unable to use station cargo.

Hey so I found a workaround to this. If you home in m7 and then go somewhere else and die, you will respawn there and the station will let you take a ship out of it from inventory to reduce it. You might not be able to get your Goli out (haven't tested) but you can get other ships and inventory out this way without paying the crystal.

You can also collect the crystal, but im assuming you had stuff in M7 that you wanted for your crystal hunting adventures.

So.. I don't exactly remember if that's specifically by design, or not.

But, all things considered, I don't consider it a terrible burden for people to either collect or purchase some crystal.

Much of the point of being a Subscriber is that you don't have to ever worry about Crystal. But doubling it up, and causing you to also collect crystal in the background during that time, seems a bit unreasonable.

Collecting crystals is not too tough after the update, limits are much higher and so are the rates they are given at(2-5 depending on the bot). That's only 20 tycorps for 50 crystals, shouldn't take more than 10 mins.

Which update would that be? We haven't changed the Crystal payment structure around bots in quite some time?

I have had varying amounts of crystals drop form tycorps, ranging from 2-4, decreasing as I killed more. I'm not 100% sure this wasn't the case before the freemium model though. IIRC it was I think a static 2 per tycorp.

I was definitely able to cross the crystal limits. I think I made like 140 in a single day(lite sub).

140 from bots alone?

This was an interesting problem for me as well and it is not just pertained to capships. There are many stations with a plethora of ships that I can't use because when I dock and try to change ships I can't due to station cargo limits. It got to the point where I didn't want to deal with the hassle and just logged off.

Obviously, there are simple solutions such as subbing, buying crystals, or spending time farming bots, which I think is more than fair considering the game is now free. But something about not being able to access ships I already "paid" for kind of turned me off.

Soto sum it up I personally think the system is more than fair yet it bugged me enough to be annoyed and log off instead of buying crystal or resubbing. Will I resub again? Definately at some point, but nprobably later than sooner and that probably has to do with me logging in and being annoyed by the station cargo limits. Obviously this will really probably only affect long term players who have amassed a lot of station cargo that aren't subbed, but will bring a good constant flow of money from newer players. So as annoying as it was for me I understand that this system is better for the game ln the long run and is probably the greatest update since tridents.

Yes, i'll try to recreate it and post some screenshots tomorrow.

EDIT : I tried it rn, on freemium. The tycorps alternated between 2-3 crystals, and the limit seems to be 25. I'll test it on a lite sub when I can.

Could you also check the logs though?

Aryko: From the logs, you gained a lot of Crystal from XP (something that was tweaked earlier this week, based on analytics). You did not exceed any barriers on just gains from bots alone.
