Mouselook/3rd person camera mode issues

When you use mouselook mode and 3rd person camera at the same time, your ship effectively loses control, because the two mode's specific control system appear to be fighting each other. This is also true in the new control method for mobile pilots. I'm not sure how you would fix this, but once the new control system is ironed out, I suggest looking into making these systems work better together should be added to the agenda.

Could you be more specific? As part of standard QA, I tested the new mobile controls in 3rd person, and 3rd person alternate, with no issues, using an EC89 in the training sector. I just tried it again, to be sure.

If you're seeing a problem with the new control method, please let us know exactly how, and what the situation is.

I know there are some longstanding issues on PC, with third person mouselook, although I don't remember exactly what offhand. But I haven't seen the mobile thing. But, mouselook-style input uses a control system, which could be destabilized by a particular low-mass ship configuration.

Okay, I see the issue now; Playing around with it again, with your stuff in mind - it DOES behave, in a way, correctly, but there's this mental disconnect between how it actually works and how it visually behaves for me. so...

in 1st person, the camera completely ignores your ship's orientation, while in third (I used Alternate, specifically) the camera is locked to your ship's orientation and direction. As such, you have to work with the ship's... I'll call them 'over-corrections' to match where the virtual cursor is supposed to go. Which I can't get use to, at all. What you see is the ship bouncing around and rotating to try and face the direction the virtual cursor is going, but you don't have any indication of where the cursor itself IS.

I recorded a somewhat short segment here with some on-screen comments that hopefully points out the odd bounciness that i've run into.
