Customizeable Stygian Furie loadout

Title.

Currently the furie doesn't see much use, even if its actually quite decent at supporting. (most likely due to its cost and terrible navigating making it economically unfeasible and not worth the effort)

I think it'd be nice if we can customize and change its neutron blaster with any other small port weaponries (e.g. Positrons, PCBs, or even flares).

Here's how I think it should go:
Once you've picked the mission to deploy the furie, prior to undocking have it so that you can customize the Furie(s) loadout using any small port weaponries that you currently have in the station storage.

Well... if you're going to be able to configure furies, i'd push for several outright changes.
1) Just have furies show up in the ship management interface. This lets you use the existing interface to manage them. You can't 'launch' a furie, however. i'm open to being able to cart them around like any other ship, but you'd need a station capable of launching them for you (re. has the mission available).

2) triple-pcb furies sound scary in the hands of a skilled aggressive pilot. It sounds very fun and i wanna be pvping that person, but...

3) How should furies work when equipt with scanners or mining beams? Keeping in mind they are cybernetically linked to the owner, are their scanner's data being sent to the pilot? And, IF they can turn into mining drones, we gotta keep in mind methods to prevent their use in pure-automated setups (require the pilot in-sector, prevent mining above a threshold, etc?), OR they just don't do anything when equipt with a beam.

4) We'd have to make sure the mission only allows furie spawning of validly configured furies. Hell, I don't know if the system is capable of getting and actually working with someone's inventory in that way?

i have a few more thoughts too, so i'll revisit this later

hehehe, you're saying as if anyone with triple furies aren't scary to begin with :p

A3) Didn't thought of that. Then probably have it so that all furies by default came with a set of selectable loadouts of just the default variant of blasters and flares, similar weapons to that of unrats? (Neutron MkI/MkII, regular Positrons, PCBs, Sunflares, Ion blasters, etc etc)

I'd imagine if they were to made mining beam furies possible, have the furies on permanent auto-jettison mode when told to mine a roid. I'd imagine that this is very cheeseable/exploitable though, although on one hand this would make people to actually use furies and they can't really have it mining for too long anyway since furies by default only lasts for a few hours

oh, shoot, you know? I titally forgot that furies already had their own time limit, actually. I guess they already have their own limiting factor, huh? More to think about...

I mean 4hrs....... Not really a hard limit Inc has said he want's to leave furies alone for now. Remember they do defend them selves now. Pretty cool

And this is compared to 30mins squadrons. BUT that's a different thread

I'm think furies must be completely rework, access to through inventory of station which can launch them, it's can make possible to change their weapons, add more commands such as attack or mine, add other drone types, also left restrictions like you cant use more then 3 Drones and they boom after 4 hours
