Buff Capital Cannon Turrets

Considering they are the only capship turret not using energy makes them a viable defensive/offensive weapon. The delay is okay, but i think the damage is too low
I should deal at least 5000 damage, and with a velocity of 260-280 m/s, to be somewhat comparable to a caprail, but lower damage and no energy use. Also less range. Thats it
I dont think its game breaking or overpowered, just need to have a still somewhat defensive/offensive using no energy, because i think leaving a capship completely helpless when using PCB on them is unfair.

Not sure what the DPS would be but wouldn't want it to high but definitely a good idea to buff em I used to love em but caprail and capswarm way more worth it.
+1 to a buff that's not game breaking.

pcb are too powerful as is to make a capital ship defenseless, there needs to be a countermeasure, this could be it +1

I would think of the other things like this affects.... Say farming bots?.... Deneb? Convoys? Just deleting more sub caps in general. Perspective of a fighter pilot here.

This still won't solve your pcb issue just get MORE guys with pcb... Bottom line an escort for your capital is what keeps it alive not more buffs to capital turrets. I feel like everyone here is looking at a solo scenario my self.

The meta will expand and then more turrets will be balanced and changed.

I think the current cap cannon is fine as it is. Adding another, new turret weapon would be cool.

Any further discussion there should be in its own thread, but I'm open to new weapons as well.

What is the point in this?
Most players use capital rail cannons and swarms for fast killing voys. And even against the hive. I dont think this buff affects much, because rails are still superior in every single part except reload. Just that buff will give us a usable defensive weapon when have to cross unrats or someone shows up with gunner bots and shoots Capital Rail , PCB turret, Mega Posi and neutron turret all forward in a goliath - it can easily catch a trident and kill it in matter of seconds.
This is why we need the capcannon buff, to have a chance to counter these with activateturrets somewhat.

I flown golis long enough to gain this experience, what it looks like when you are pinned down and cannot even fire back. This is the point of this suggestion.

i too would like to see a buff on the cap gauss; a cap ship should have some form of effective defense option to pcb. +1

They just added energy cost to swarms. You think these will continue to not have energy cost? Lol.

Giving energy use to everything when PCBs are utter broken ruins some parts of capship combat, putting players with bot gunners in a huge advantage. We need some weapon not using energy, or nerf PCBs.

I know. But you decide. A buff to capital cannons would be nice though.
