Suggest you implement a guild message feature, that could reside in the PDA guild screen. Any member can send a message to the whole guild, and a scrollable message log is created. Commander capability to delete or edit messages might be a smart precaution. My guild currently uses the memo field attached to bank transactions to do this. A more dedicated and streamlined tool would be appreciated.

Using the bank note system as a message board is kind of dirty hack. Having a proper built in message system would be a plus for guild comms.

I would argue that the general idea is good, but the proposed implementation method is flawed. Such a suggestion would fit better as a general mail system that allows anyone to send offline messages to anyone. It could further support a guild group to support what you request.

Most importantly, this approach fits in with the general idea that nothing should be guild exclusive.

This will be useful, but I'm not sure that this is so important as to take up time that may be spent developing other aspects of the game. Many guilds have discords for this purpose and the system of leaving notes in the guild bank log isn't really bad. It's a crude mechanism which the players have found through improvisation. Much like other aspects of the game, the most important being trade. I think there are a lot of other improvements that will improve the game much better than this one. So a +1 for the idea itself, but a -1 for using up dev time for it.

Many people can't use discord for various reasons(age of player, hardware issues, some people don't like that discord runs on electron and as such is a bloated app, etc) . Forcing players to use an external application that is not directly controlled by Guild Software is asinine at best.

The guild bank is not a message board. Some guilds even turn off access to it for various security/rp reasons. Having a simple message system similar to these very forums would make more sense. There could a few levels of access for command/council/members. Which could result in superior guild organization and communication.

I did say that I like the idea. It's just that I don't think it's worth the Dev's time. That is just my opinion. Would I like this change? Yes. Would I advocate the devs spending time on this rather than something like new addons or a better capship system? No.
