I suggest that observer bots be possessed by players by pcb'ing them to a full stop and holding them for maybe 20 seconds. Then you can switch ships. You can fly it anywhere but obviously can't shoot anyone. And your other ship is vulnerable while you're in "possession" of the the observer. The possession will last only 30 minutes or until the observer dies or until you switch back to the original ship still sitting at a stop in whatever sector your initiated the possession.

Naturally, you wouldn't want to do this to an observer at a hive sector. But it would be useful for that random sector with a single observer or if you caught one at the end of a hive mission.

only interest i see on that is if we had transparent cockpit and if we could see if other pilots wear pants or not.
