Limit CSR participation to 1 event per week

The second CSR got added in for folks on the other side of the oceans, but since there's often less participation for the second race it's just a credit printing machine for those who run it.

Limit the number of race participations to once per week thusly preventing pilots from taking part in both races for easy cash.

What would prevent someone using an alt to race? The outcome would be the same (credit wise).

We could define the rewards based on the number of participants? And perhaps not run it if at least two people don't take part?

Although, there's still the issue of alts. I don't really have a solution there.

Scaling the reward based on the number of participants spots) is the most elegant solution (that said alts also break this not to mention they'd extract even more money from it since they'd potentially get more podium, the race should always run to let people top the time scoreboard it would really suck to deny someone the chance of setting a better time.

And since I'm on the subject of race times instead of averaging all the times for a given place I'd rather see the best time recorded but yeah at this rate I'm just spoutin' suggestions for the sake of it!

As far as alts are concerned they're busted anyway and there's no easy solution since mitigating alt shenanigans isn't really possible short of preventing clients from connecting from the same IP(not to mention it would also prevent two different players from playing with the same ip)... and it wouldn't mitigate shit anyway I'm gonna go ahead and ignore that issue!

Halving the 1st place reward is the easiest fix I can come up with other than preventing people from running it twice, another but somewhat shitty solution would be to push foward/backward the race time by three hours every week and only hosting a single race per week.

What about disqualifying racers that haven't moved by the time the 2nd or 3rd checkpoint is reached and then calculating the rewards based on the new current racer count?

I have a better idea: make CSR much more frequent, and significantly lower the credit rewards. Many of us who participate aren't really trying to print credits, we're trying to get good times, and taking every opportunity to do so. If it happened much more often, there wouldn't be a need to specifically take every opportunity, so more people could have chances at winning.

I would suggest twice per day, at the current times to allow people in different time zones fair chances. At that rate, 1 mil for first place and like 200k for 2nd/3rd would be reasonable; it's less total prizes output over the week and clearly less opportunity for one player to game the system and get a ton of credits.

With the current schedule, it's especially frustrating to get bad luck on storms/jumps/player interference and have to wait an entire week for another chance.

Not running it if multiple players don't show up doesn't work, a player can just sign up an alt, and players should definitely still have a chance to set a good time even if nobody else is there. Credit rewards based on participants also encourages spamming alt signups. If my goal is just credits and nobody else is there, I can easily run several clients and just run the race on all of them simultaneously.
