Navigation Map

Ummmm.... Maybe this was suggested already, but checking a few pages back under various categories didn't reveal it. Perhaps too simple. Toshiro almost said it when he suggested a "mouse-over" feature to display the sector number on the map: "I don't want to count squares..." How about just labeling the map with the letters and numbers around the border of the map?

I am -HIGHLY- against showing the people in a sector from long-distance. As in I think it'd be stupid on a large scale.

The grid is numbered/lettered already for the next version. It also shows what kinds of bots you can expect to see in the long description of the sector.

We're not going to show who's in a sector long-distance; that's impractical for a number of reasons, and it's sort of invasive if you ask me.

nice, easy to find bots... and it's numbered!

another small suggestion: if you take a cargo mission, it should be easier to:

a) ask for mission help during flight. would a "mission channel" be feasible? you could locate it by default on T, where the nation chat formerly was. then all a player would have to do is press shift, t and type help, 1, 2, etc.

b) in the charts, indicate where you have to go. maybe highlight the target system and sector. this is purely self-centered, because i tend to forget where i was supposed to bring the cargo, and looking at the map would be quicker & easier than to ask the mission bot.

Or just get it here:

/alias msnkey "prompt '/mission'"
/bind T msnkey
