I would like to see my mouse cursor while flying...

Sep 30, 2004 -ZeRaTuL link
Perhaps a few of you know the game "Jumpgate"...
In Jumpgate you can see your mouse cursor, while flying with a mouse.... the ship turns, when you dont have your mouse in the middle of the screen...so you dont need to move your mouse as much as here, when you turn, try to fly a circle or something...

I would like to see this in vendetta ;)

P.S. sorry for my bad english, if you didn't understand what i mean, plz say it ;)

I have tried several spacesims, that use this(your) way of controlling(including the Wingcommander series, freelancer starcrusader etc.).
It is far superior imho.

I haven't gotten into Vendetta yet, but with the FPS style combat, i can see how the current control method could be best...

Maybe they should implent boh methods..that would be kewl!

If I understand the question then we do have both ways. Turn mouselook off and your ship will track in the direction you move the mouse. With it on your ship will attempt to point at the cursor.

I think for many mouse/keyboard users, mouselook on is best for light ships and off is best for heavy. Your experience may vary.

I think mouselook is best for light, off is best for medium (hornet/marauder) and heavy, well, heavy just better have some really good autoaim :D.

just switch your control to "joystick" under options -ZeRaTuL (ot: starcraft fan by any chance? ;) /ot)

When you're in joystick mode, you can also control the rotation of your ship using the mouse. It has a different feel from mouselook mode, so give it a try.

Although the way you describe Jumpgate controls sounds very much like what we have here. The only difference is that your screen "looks" in the direction you point your cursor, and your ship rotates until it's facing that direction. The crosshairs in your HUD represent the direction your ship's nose is pointing.

Well it aint jumpgate/freelancer style. The problem is that you look where your mouse is pointing... That means you have to keep moving the mouse to spin around and eventually you run out of desk..

Give me an option where I have a mouse pointer but the view doesnt change according to the mouse pointer but the view is fixed in the direction where the ship is aiming.
