Couple of suggestions...

1. 3D VDU Picture of a ship when Targeted..

Ok, I have suggested this in the past.

Let me explain this again, when you have Targeted another ship, a 3d VDU is displyed on the bottom of your screen.

2. In the list players feature, (When pressing "u") if a player is in a guild, then guild tags are displayed next to their name in the list players feature.

3. When a new characrer is created, make the newly created character automatticly join 100 by default.

4. How about a bounty list? I was gonna come up with a good idea but when it comes to PvP, everyone thats a pro nation PvPer would show up on the opposite nation's bounty list meaning that it would be useless..

5. How about different types of guns?
How about this one:
Test Gun 1
Damage: 250
Speed: 300
Energy: 15 Blast
Delay: .25 seconds

I mean, how about some guns that fire out faster shots, slower firate and damage?? How will this effect PvP?

i like the idea about the guns. it would be neat to have a wep that could fire fast moving shots but take longer to reload or cool down.
another cool wep in this would be a bullet like wep, it could fire fast rapid shots that had a .15 reload time, but did like 150 dammage.

a 3D model of the ship would be cool too, but i would think it would take some time to create, cuz you would have to have the model track the chars exact position.

guild tags would be great, and i dont think it would be hard to do either.

im guessing the reason a new player goes right to channel 1 is so he/she DOESNT get spammed by useless talk.

a bounty list would add some more depth to the game. it would be cool if someone kills you and you have a choice to put that person on your factions bounty list. or maybe in stations in neutral space could be boards where players put out bountys on other players they dont like.

1. Would greatly lower fps, but okay...
2. Guild tags -are- there.
3. Coming soon, says a dev.
4. *shrug*
5. I suggest you guys try the Flechette Cannon/Gattling Cannon. It is very similar to the weapon you desribed.

Oh, I forgot to add a few more suggestion:

6. When you buy a ship, usually white is the defauly color. The ship colors should be the nations colors(depending what nation you are at Red, Blue, Or Yellow) by default instead of white all the time.

7. Add the "Speed" on the bottom of the "Distance" text in the targeting window area. So incase if we want to use the "Match Speed" feature.

8. Formation???

9. How about an agile ship which just one only large gun port?

10. Don't display all the map of the systems in the universe. Unexplored systems usually are hidden until explored.

Ok anyways, I tried the Flechette Cannon in the past but thats not exactly what I asked for because of the short range + doesn't go strait.

5. That weapon would be unfair:
It would allow players to back off constantly keeping a good distance (this is easy to do if you have skill equal to your opponent, if they turbo at you, you simply shoot them then turbo off at a 90 degree angle) and shoot indefinitely at your opponent until they die (or run away). This strategy can currently be used with a rail gun, except that due to it's limited ammo isn't indefinite.

9. Also broken:
Any ship faster than a warthog which could equip a advanced gattling turret would be unfair due to its combined ability to get in close next to ships, and shoot at close to 80 degree angles away from it's current heading.

11. Equipping certain types of guns on to a ship could effect the weight on certain types of ships.

I have to agree with 11. That could restrict speedy ships from gaining huge advantages for having large weapons.

On a similar note, does cargo affect mass at all? Realistically, it should.

11. been suggested (including DireC's part about cargo), is a "would be really nice, but don't have time for" : (
It might appear in an update after release, but I think the devs have said they can't do it before release (if you want to know exactly what they've said on the topic try using the forum search with 'ship mass').
