More ephasis on names of places
Just been to Verasi I-5 again and think its one of the best views in VO yet - the Station in Dau is nice too but here's what i think is missing - names.
When I say Versai I-5 it's just another sector name out of dunno what many sector identifiers - it just doesn't click for me.
The station itself in this case is a bit simply named (Verasi Industrial), but all stations and belts have names - why not show them in the inflight display too where it already shows the Sector and Location?
e.g.
Verasi I-5 (Verasi Industrial)
Additionally, places could and should have special names; would anyone name a station like the cracked up, glowing green on the inside roid just 'industrial'?
I'm well aware that the stations can be swapped around by the devs at will as the re-introduction of alpha ones in the beta showed, I'm also aware that its a hard and usually undisgraceful job to create a history for places which don't really have one because they're just a digital representation; and even more annoying it might be to mach it up with the background-story, but i think it might be worth a try.

I agree, the names given to objects within a system would have more colour than the the sector name. Itouched on something similar in a reply to a suggestion a while ago. http://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/6514#84783 It's there somewhere I have a tendancy to ramble a bit.
The only difficulty I can see is when you have a sector with more than one object in it, say a station and a planet. or you have a sector in the middle of nowhere that contains a point of interest that isn't displayed on the map.
