I really like how the HUD now displays the mass of the ship, however when grouping you lose this information. This seems like a pretty useful thing for miners to know (so you know how fast you can fly back to the station). Also, since there are such benefits to grouping while mining, it will be fairly common for miners to be grouped.

How about if the HUD shows the usual ungrouped display for your own ship, and health bars for each other grouped member. Or just remove the ship damage indicator thingy if it's too big.

Or you could just use /hudmode (I have it bound to H) to switch between group and solo HUD modes...

yeah, put tabs on that "window," one for ship status, the other for group health.
