Dear DEV'S

I know this has already been Suggested but it was not on the list of the things mentioned so far.So im going to mention it again. There should be a mission that raises the factioon standing with nation's and "misc. Factions like: "Courvos,TPG, Axia, Valent" so on. Or like some one else minsioned taking items to Faction's Station that they dont have.

P.S.-Alot of ppl would like this i have herd many ppl suggest this

There is.
currently, its called "trade" missions. when you succeed with your mission, they start to like you just a bit more. if you fail, well. then they don't.

I can see a good point in having more types of missions, and having their success bring you a certain higher level of standing as well. However, missions to simply raise it for the sake of raising it, only caters to the exploiters and the ADHD gamers who want instant gratification and can't imagine actually having to spend time and effort in gaining any kind of item in the game.

They have already fallen for the Trade XP reduction, in so far as to make the trade missions useless for anything but gaining reputation, To make things even easier on people?
Erm.

*sigh*

No, Instead. Lets put in more, and harder goals to reach. Things that take time, effort, preferrably reoccuring things that will capture the attention sporadically over longer periods of time. Such things make people put in a bit more attention, and prevents them from running out of things to do.

Your reputation should be earned. And earned in earnest and difficulty.

Suggestion:
Remove the No Fire Zone guards around stations in grey space, and instead introduce a -50 penalty for all kills inside the No Fire Zone.
(no penalty for damages)

Hi,

Yes they do exist, take a mission from say a Valent station and at the end you'll get points towards your standing and trade with Valent

I think it'll be odd to be given points from a faction that has nothing to do with the mission, like take a mission from Axis and expect to be given Biocom standing points as well.

The only thing needs fixing are for Serco and Itani space to have separate corporations running things like mining and research thru to commercial alongside Itani and Serco stations respectively, like in UIT space.

As for gaining points by taking items to a station that doesn't have that item is the crux of trading is about, the items themselves don't give faction standing points and just as well otherwise everyone will be admired by every faction and corporation by now.

The developers have many features and bug fixes to add on a weekly basis and must first prioritize and compare all of them to come up with a plan. Some changes must necessarily wait for other pieces to be in place first. Sometimes the result doesn't make sense when seen from the outside. That your top-priority agenda item does not yet appear on the short-term "to do" list does not mean that it has been forgotten or rejected. No need to bump or repost.

I told the Original Poster in-game that I would add on to his message so here it is. A little late, sorry, I got carried away playing vendetta all day.

Today I did an Edras-Itan fetch trade mission for Tunguska, thats 10 system jumps, which took probably >30 minutes, and I got about 10 faction points. Most of the trade missions are 1 or 2 system jumps, and they give about 8 faction points. Unbalanced.

What if corporate mining stations gave faction for prospecting?

not really. You don't perform the mission "better" for it to take more time.

Your reward should go up with the amount of jumps. However, the standing increase should be a static to give you just that single "boost" of liking for -completing the mission successfully-

I can fully undesrstand that a 10 jump mission gives 10x the amount of credits compared to a 1 jump mission, however, it doesn't mean you succeed better or not.

And I quite support the idea to make mining/prospecting, Spy/recog missions give a faction standing increase.

I know that u can do trade missions to raise faction standing.

What i was trying to suggest was a mission(perferably hard)that would rise your faction standing more than the trading.

I know what i said was a mission that would raise it faster. but the i thought about it and came to a conclusion that that would raise your standing to fast.

And now im suggesting more missions that will raise your standing instead of just trading.

Because vendetta is a very fun game and it would prbably be funner with more missions instead of about 4-5 missions avaivible at a time.

and the other missions should raise your standings with that faction. Like the prospecting and espianoge/spy missions, since you just worked for that faction.

How about a mission to destroy/capture a notorious Corvus member or something like that? Many factions would be interested in the fall of such a character, and thus you could gain standing with them while at the same time losing it with others (with Corvus, obviously, in the example above). The only problem I see with this is the eternal "Boss Respawn Complex" that always accompanies such missions.

Another would be to "cleanse" an asteroid field (like kill so many bots) so the miner factions can move in; that could also give you standing with more than one faction at a time. or rescue some cargo from a hostile sector, or stuff like that.

Basically, such missions will all turn out easier and with less effort than several smaller missions.
Why? Because for things that you might consider difficult ( Kill 15 DenTek assault ships in 5 minutes .... ) others can handle in a breeze with little effort.

This means that "single hard missions" will never really make it through the game in a good way, because they bare the way for fast abuse of them.

However, making anything a series of smaller, easier, missions , give even deicated "less great" pilots a fair chance, and will cost even the greatest ones more time than the single hard ones.
