Few minutes ago I posted an idea for an ingame media player. I just thought of something BETTER! How about if each station had there own radio stations? Might seem like a lame idea, but think about it for a minute. Maybe no rap or rock stuff. Mostly techno and trance. But as you get closer to a station you can pick up different broadcasts.

Let's see... on a dialup account, normal Internet radio can take up 50-100% of the available bandwidth. This would make VO unplayable for them. Or you could include it in the download, which would also be annoying. Why is it that you people are -looking- for ways to make the game huge and bloated?

Well if you've got Dialup.. you've got bigger problems than Internet Radio I'd say. I'd like a list of players using Dialup so I can blacklist them!

There's quite a few. This game is designed for dialup playability.

why not use the bandwith for useful audio - like a built-in team chat radio - like a crossplatform, dedicated Teamspeak or something?

It's way too much work for the developers at the moment though, i think other priorities are more important. But audio chat sure would beat typing!

Like UT2004, Would be nice. Only for your group and guild though. Noone wants to hear and entire 100+ person chat room over a headset!

if music is what you want, there's this program called iTunes.... just leave it running in the background.

Why not give factions their own music (as special addon to download or just let everyone use their own )?
So when you get closer to station it starts playing instead of standard music.

Factions do have their own music. It plays when you're in a sector belonging to that faction. Each faction has different music for stations, battle, etc.

Nations have. Factions don't.

Nations are just big factions. :D
