Icons?

Not really an in-game thing but I'm looking to continue to beautify my new Gnome desktop and I can't seem to find any icons in the Vendetta directory to use... am I not looking in the right place or is there no app icon?

Let us know when you finish your icon. Not to bash Guild's icon, but i'ld like a new one.. the current icons is a little dated.

Nice. Thanks roguelazer. Looks great on my Gnome toolbar.

That icon is the original Vendetta icon, straight from a1k0n in the pre-Alpha stage.

Ok, typical right brain computer user -- spent much time exploring the creative possibilities of my machine, but mostly glaze over and get disinterested when any highly technical, arcane or further understanding is required. (edit: typical Mac user... :P)

I have made my own VO icon in photoshop and want to replace the current icon (as much as i love its c.1996 plastic-bezel style... :|). Converted from photoshop to .icns with full masks and scalability (using a number of programs and processes). However a straight replace of the vendetta.icns file in the Contents/Resources directory will only work for one launch, and is immediately restored to the original file by the client during the verifying files stage of the launch.

Could anybody give me a clearly expressed workaround for Mac OS X?

While we are on the subject, I dont mean to bastardise guild's excellent work, but is there any interest in a 'competition' involving the submission of re-styled VO icons? This could be purely community based, however support from Guild might be nice. Especially if the quality of contributions is high.

Thanks in advance...

I could probably make an svg version for the nautilus, tracker and rox users out there. Does kde support svg icons yet? I forget...

You could just launch vendettaclient.app from within the package, but it wouldn't check for updates at launch, and the icon would still go away when you had to run the updater.

the pic looks the same as the original icon to me.
