actually i do not known why people is whining about it.
i have no problem with swarmers.
it' just a tactic mode.
i target swarmer first.

everybody run in red in this game
not just because they ran off ammo (swarms)

btw it's easier to run away in a middle of fight with a light ship than a heavy ship.

i read somewhere that swarms is bugged. 850 damage instead of 750. but i am not sure. (chaos swarms missiles)
i think people are mistaken. (locus swarms missiles)

i have an idea to fix the "run away" in the middle of fight.

put a timer 10 secondes (to sector jump only) if you are involved in a fight. (you hit somone or hitted by somone).
<< stability system req 10 secondes to jump >>

PS : swarms missiles req skill
like all weapons. each weapon has his own usestyle.
player that trying to dodge missiles like he is doging blaster is total wrong.
variance of dodgestyle to escape :
Gauss canon
Gathling canon
missiles
rockets
blasters

swarmers DO run when out of missiles. a particular one *cough*, ran after all 5 batches were shot, even though they were not even hit once, because i never fired upon them. plus, they had rather low skill on blasters.
Also, they are particularly proud when they say the other person ran, despite the fact above.

Okay, the suggestion was for a 10 second timer. We're not going to have two threads about whether swarms are skilled/unskilled/bad/good/etc. Keep it to the topic please.

10 seconds upon successful hit is not enough. I would rather have 5 seconds from weapon fire. Usually these missile spammer types move out to 3000m, then get off as many good shots as they can, then jump immediately.
Also, to prevent jumping through a WH, make missiles deplete a rather small energy amount. lets say 4 per rocket. That way, gems would eat 8, which isn't too bad, while the more devastating and annoying swarms would eat 32.
