You should be able to sell the whole ship at once, guns cargo and all. If nothing else, it would auto-sell the weapons, battery, and cargo, then the ship.

I think it's intended to prevent (especially inexperienced) players from accidentally selling their ships. Maybe a good middle-of-the-road is to have a "remove and sell" button on the ship loadout menu which both unloads all your weapons, battery, and any future misc equipment that may be added, and sells them. The remaining step is to formally sell your ship.

We used to have one-button selling of full ships. It was annoying, especially when you hit it accidentally while docked in the middle of gray space in your Valkyrie. As a matter of fact, there's a thread about how much we disliked it around here somewhere. Unfortunately, due to the uselessness of the search button, I can't find it right now.

well, maybe PVPers with Valks in Grayspace like it better this way.... but i think many traders and miners who switch ships often and have lots of stockpiled inventory find it very annoying to have wade through it all (its not even sorted, remember) and click 10 times just to do something that could be done with one click. 10 more chances to sell things maybe we dont want to sell, like accidentally selling an Advanced Scanner or IoPhase beam that we stockpiled in a station that didn't have any for sale.

this would solve the (oops i sold my ship) problem

And make it optional, meaning you have to tag it in the optionsscreen, and is at default not tagged (meaning non active).

This will first of all stop the newbies from oops I sold my ship problems, and to clutter space for the pvp-ers who do not like it.

And give the option to the miners to sell it all fast.
