yellow movement vector marker on radar?

I do prefer playing with flight assistant, but for the rare moments when I let physics mode kick in, I'd like to see something like yellow dot on my radar, showing me the direction my ship is moving.

I belive this would be very useful when your vector of movement show on radar (as a yellow dot or something) if it is,say, fifteen or more degrees away from the centre of players view. That might give some players strategic advantage in battle, because they can turn around and still keep an eye on where the ship is going.

A vector indicator has been suggested many times before, although you have a nice, simple idea for implementing it. The only problem I can see is that a new player might not know what it is amidst all the other colorful dots on the radar. Maybe a yellow cross like the storm exit marker.

I'd actually rather see the movement vector on the HUD... just because its easier that way to reckon your heading in reference to actual, physical obstacles.

There is already a way to tell witch way you are going... just take a close look at the debris going by your ship and you will know what direction your going in.

I like the idea. I certainly can't see any drawbacks to it.

It is easier (and quicker) to take a quick look for a yellow dot on the radar, than having to spot debris and watch its movement in the middle of the battle. :)

Good idea but... Yellow isnt a very good choice for a marker. Perhaps a cross marker of some other color (EIther Dark Purple or a light orange would probably be best).

Yellow is used for missles used by another person. SO I dont want to be flying around and keep thinking that a missle is going to hit me at any moment.

Oh, the color is not that important, but the marker should be distinctive and easily recognizable.
