So I was thinking about a few things.

1) guilds have become large, to the extent that small new guilds have been less likely to form

2) there isn't a lot that binds a guild together apart from RP'ing and general good-naturedness

So how bout medals awarded to guilds based on certain stats.
(If a guild gets the medal once, it keeps it, but if another guild gains superiority, they would get the medal as well)

I haven't thought about the prizes for these, I'll leave that to someone else.

Basic Ideas:
Guild Pk Medal: given to the Guild with the highest average Pk's
Guild $ Medal: Given to the Guild with the highest average Cash
Guild CTC Medal: Given to the Guild with the highest Average CTC returns
Guild Cap Ship medal: Given to the Guild with the Greatest number of Cap ship kills
Guild Speed medal: (assuming race tracks are put back in) given to the guild with the greatest number of high level times/race wins

Mining/trade levels/faction standing/ etc...

etc...
etc... I'm sure people can come up with more.

This ought to promote smaller, more specialized guilds too.
