Ye good auld nerfing thread

I'd like a generic Behemoth that everyone carries, w/ 90 or 100 cu, and a UIT special Behemoth with 120 or 130 cu. And it should be UIT, not one of the UIT corporate sub-factions.

maybe increase moths licences to x/x/x/1y/6, with y = 1,2 or 3

since it is an in between from the capships and to actually make it so that the marauder and stuff still are possible

and make the regular behe = 80
UIT one = 120

cheers

Heh, 11, 12, or 13.... I'm too sleepy, when I first read it, I thought you meant 1, 2, or 3 (one times one = one; one times two = two; one times three = three), and I was thinking, Rene can't mean that...

I'd say make the Moth require trade 10, maybe 11, and drop the trade req for the various Mauds to between 6 & 8. Trade is probably the easiest license to get to high levels, but 12 & 13 still take quite a while.

why shouldn't traders have something to work for? trade 12 is less hard than combat 9.

Only if you do combat 9 the "stupid" way.

the stupid way being what? I did combat 9 with 95% normal botting and 5% bots staring at you without fireing. it took a _long_ time. a lot longer than trade 12 takes with the current trade missions, and you don't make money or faction off it either.

Well, the behemoth should definitely stay TPG, since they ARE the ship manufacturer of the game. But new variants would definitely be nice. Making the requirements higher would be a good because it makes all the other trade ships still viable and used options until the behemoth becomes available. You just don't see any Tung Mauds or Aggressos much anymore for trading purposes. Every faction trade oriented faction should have it's own variant of the 'moth, with slightly different characteristics from the others. Though lowering the cargo to increase thurst or speed would probably make it a bit too dangerous a ship. Tram was already doing a pretty good job of making bombing runs with the current one on the Itani frigate. If you want to nerft the 'moth then give it drain, that way they can't simply infiboost away, or at least make it harder.

You don't see Tung Mauds or Agressos around 'cause the pirates ain't doing their job. They don't kill enough moths to convince traders to use ships in which they can fight.

End of joke - appeal to Serco:

Please do what Shape is advising: grab CtC cargo in a moth. We will be more than happy to verify by ourselves if the moth needs to be nerfed - in the interest of scientific research of course >:)
