Manual download instead of automatic?

May 10, 2005 vrocko link
Hey Guys,
I'm new to the group here too and I've seen a couple of thread on the auto-download. Any chance we could get a manual download option. I've got a dial-up but my brother owns a cable modem and the downloads are MUCH faster, as many of you probably know. I'd like to be able to download the update's from his PC and then apply them to my PC later. Any chance of that happening? Waiting 4 to 6 hrs for a download is not something I really want to do. Thanks!

From what i've heard some people with dial-up use a USB flash thumb drive to hold vendetta, go over to miscellaneous high band-width place, then update. If you don't have a USB thumb drive you can get one that can hold vendetta for pretty cheap now.

In my experience, you don't need the little USB adaptor thing.

Thanks SL,
I'll have to try it. I've got two 128 MB flash drives. Any idea how big the update is? Can I fit it on the flash drive with Vendetta on it, Vendetta looks to be 112 MB installed?
