i can get into the options screen and i hear the music. i can mess around in there but when i go and type in my name and password and hit connect the whole thing freezes. what's go'n on? this is a brand new computer.

If you have XP, it's probably the firewall that's preventing you from connecting.

It probably is coming up with a message like:
"This application has been blocked by your firewall" or something like that, but you can't see it because you're running VO in full-screen.
Before you connect, try Alt-Enter to go into window mode and then connect. If XP brings up the error message, it should have a button to allow VO through.
