Surely you jest. I assume you're referring to the original G4 Powermac? That one was loud. The G5 isn't very loud. Whispering at best.

JEST !! NAY!! Try running Apple hardware test to hear the full fury of all NINE fans running at full blast. Be warned you may need to fasten down any light objects and small children to prevent them from being blown away.
