Little Snitch

I've tried searching the forum but can't seem to find a solution. Is there a way to get Vendetta to connect even though Little Snitch is running? I've tried adding Vendetta to the ACL with full permission, but I think it isn't Vendetta, but the app inside the Vendetta package that's trying to connect and L.S. won't allow you (as far as I can tell) to add package contents. Any help is appreciated.

Run vendetta in a window then try to connect and when you try to connect little snitch will pop up, choose any connection and forever and click allow. That's all.

I just went though this! Open the Vandetta .app (Control+click) "Show package contents" In the app you'll see the "vendettaclient" app that is really connecting to their server. Option+command a link to your application folder. Set the allow rule and play.

The way I did it was as soon as Vendetta made a connection I force quitted and LS was there with a open window. Allow Forever.

Rinse and repeat, again because another Vendetta app makes a connection.

Third time you should be fine. If you wait too long the LS window will disappear and deny the connection.

God I love Little Snitch, you see all sorts of sneaky behavior.

I'm glad you brought this up. I'm a total newb who only just recently heard of VO. I've got an old 512MB G4 [with nVidia GF3 64MB card] and I didn't realize VO would run windowed til I saw this post. I agree about Little Snitch being great; you DO see some sneaky behavior. I caught a gmail notifier trying to "phone home" ...

Anyway, glad to see I can run windowed and get Little Snitch to play nice with VO. Now, I'm off to learn my way around this cool game.

So how DO I get vendetta to run windowed? Is it just me or did someone else miss the steps here?

Thanks in advance,

Svinto

You can either change the Window Mode setting on Options->Video->Window Mode, or edit your config.ini file.
