Hi again!

I got VO working beautifully now, its just one small annoyance: My computer beeps sometimes while in flight, as if I was pressing too many keys at the same time. It's not a consistent problem, but sometimes while accelerating+strafing and at the same time turning the joystick it gives me a short beep.

I'm using Ubuntu Hardy.

Check under "System -> Preferences -> Assistive Technologies". There are some features there that can cause what you're describing. I don't recall if they're turned on by default or not.

If that doesn't help, I'd poke around in BIOS looking for anything related to keyboard errors. Usually, there are no settings for system beep on keyboard errors, only "halt on errors", but your system might be different.

I did not find anything relating to keyboard beeps in my BIOS settings and the Assistive Technologies were not enabled. Perhaps I can try disabling Key Repeat when playing and see if that helps...
