Downloaded installer.
installed with sh ./bla bla bla...

Ran Vendetta

I got the update screen and it starts to load. It connects and I see "Welcome to Vendetta Online 1.8.35

Changelog:

*** Vendetta 1.8.35
- New Courier tree mission." and all that...

At the end of the text from the updater I see...

"Latest version: vendetta-1.8.35
Patching version vendetta-1.8.21 to vendetta-1.8.35..."

It downloads 5% exactly 463k and stops.

The screen stays like that for about 2mins and then it closes.

Any ideas?

I get the same problem, can someone please look into this as it seems a great game

Mine doesn't download to any certain %, it ranges between 1% and 11%, however it always stops and locks up with no more downloading

hmm, 32 or 64 bit, the updater is working fine here on 64bit gentoo.
If you guys could post a bit more detail on what all of you are running that would be helpful, thanks.

vendetta-linux-ia32-installer downloaded from the torrent link on the download page.

Installed into ~/bin folder WITHOUT using sudo, I don't get any errors coming through the terminal when I run it, is there anything else I can give you?

Damn it. I broke it last night, it seems. Working on a fix..

Well it's working now, thanks for the update I see you put one out

If someone is still having trouble I removed all data except the file I first downloaded.

Removed the bin folder
Removed the .vendetta folder
then run the setup script again, then the file in bin folder again and it run :)

Except it stuffed up my screen as I have a widescreen :(
