HOW TO: Amend wgaf.cfg file and run VO in windowed mode - Ubuntu 10.04

May 07, 2010 betamax link
Hi,

I want to amend my config file so I can put some binds into it but I cant find the file or folder... fairly new to linux and VO.. I know I need to access the ./vendetta folder in the terminal but cant seem to be able to open wgaf.cfg file from there. Is there a way to do this graphically rather than through the terminal? Or what is the command line to open the wgaf file?

Also id like to run VO in windowed mode or be able to alt-tab.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks ;]

just add the ./vendetta in the address bar of your browser or click on "show hidden files" under view in konquerer.

It's .vendetta not ./vendetta. The period indicates a hidden file or directory. In gnome you can right click on the file picker to make it show hidden files.

To open it from a terminal use gedit ~/.vendetta/wgaf.cfg. The tilde is an alias for your home directory.

You can switch to window mode with alt enter. There's also a window mode setting in the options.

betamax -Also For Ubuntu 9.10 or gnome:

ctrl+h will unhide the files and the .vendetta folder and you can browse to the wgaf.cfg from there.

Hope this helps
