Whenever I log in now my game never progresses past the {Getting Characters} screen.

Did you download it and install or get it directly from the Ubuntu Software Center?

If you downloaded the client directly, then make sure you follow these instructions:

"To install Vendetta, type "sh ./vendetta-linux-x-installer.sh". You do not need to be root; install it under your usual account."

Also, make sure you download the correct client, either the 32-bit or 64-bit, depending on which one
you have installed.

I figured out what was causing the problem but I still don't know why it caused the problem. I had installed a plug-in called Targetless. I decided I wanted to remove it and when I did that is when this problem started occuring. So I simply reinstalled Targetless and now the game works again.

Yea, that's pretty odd. You should just have a folder off your .vendetta/plugins directory called
targetless. Never heard of anyone having this issue before. If you figure it out, let us know.

Might be a good time to install a fresh copy of the game and go over all your plug-ins.
