Combat training 2 is not working for me, after flying away from the station and spawning the enemy outside of the NFZ the kannik collector never spawns or shows up anywhere on my radar..

Wait near the station and spawn a kannik, go to the area where it jumped from and begin spawning more(which will be next to you).

Make sure you are faster then the guards, because they come to kill the kanniks even though they are outside NFZ.

I never even see the red blip of their entrance or anything.

im having the same issue, ive tried it about 5 times now, getting bored of having to do the advanced combat 1 mission.
is it a bug? or am i not doing it right?

You say you flew away from station; instead, stay fairly close to it when you begin. since the enemies all jump in from the same location, just follow the station guard until the dropped items form a trail. use this to position yourself to kill the kanniks with minimal damage. Also keep in mind you may have to re-hit spawn kannik occasionally, I think every 5 or whenever the station guard gets one, or something like that.
