If i have a galaxy s8, and buy a cheap walmart VR headset, can i play the VR version. Or, do I have to have a specific headset?

I believe Incarnate has said that only official GearVR headsets work with Samsung's GearVR. Same with the game's Daydream support - it must have a daydream-supported Headset.
