It doesn't bother me that people buy multiple accounts to man their turrets. I just get guildmates to man mine. :D

I'd rather have a half-implemented capship than none at all.

I'l like to echo Peytros, very sorry for your friend. I cycle everywhere myself and currently live in a car crazy city with exactly one bike lane in the whole town, it is just horrible to do all you can to bike safely and then be rear ended by an idiot who can't drive. Condolences.

Edit: and after reading the thread I want to say that I appreciate the time both inc and some players spend discussing the "direction of the game". I realize that you are unable to reveal everything you do, but it's good to have some idea. And as a programmer myself I fully understand the frustration of really wanting to work on the new features, which stay unreleased because just keeping the game going and quashing bugs takes too much time, which frustrates the user base... Good luck and safe travels.

Craziness WOW
Where to start ?

First:
Let me say the game is good
The play action is great
The concept is great.
The work done already is amazing

I notice very rude, condecending and belittling remarks toward the developers.
It's a forum lynching !
I see a conflict of interest: These are customers not friends. Respect and professionalism is all that is required for customers. No one should have to tolorate this from customers or anyone else for that matter. Small businesses sometimes do but I wish they wouldn't they would be far better off. Just my opinion.

Second: - About gunners
If you had gunners you wouldn't need to get extra subs / alts, but I'm not sure what the suggest is here ?
Perhaps a gunners guild is in order or a bunch of non sub alts or something. Why do you need to sub to have an alt gunner ?

About beginning/middle/end/ game topics:

Content is one thing but player activity is another so regardless of the stats the question is: Should anything be implimented without knowing the actual stat on these various topics:

Would more content create sticky customers ?
Would more players create sticky customers ?
Would a combination of both create sticky customers ?
Which would have a lower startup time and cost ?
Which would produce better results ?
Which would increase revenue the quickest ?
Would increased revenue increase the endgame content or is this non-related ?
What is the percentage of new/endgame and what is the players desired proposal both when starting and over time ?

I know many of these questions have been discussed and perhaps the stats are already known.I hope assumed stats cannot/should not perpetuate the direction but only confirmed stats.

Generally speaking I'm concerned with more player activity which is sort of it's own content but thats my opinion.
I would resub if there were a lot more player activity; and I consider myself a mid/endgame player but currently idling.
This would support Redspy's theory about endgame content but I don't see myself as being in the majority either.
I don't believe that should be the main focus either but needs a mixture of the entire spectrum.

Anyhow I hope they make it and hope to see massive numbers of players out there.
I'm still hopeful.

I personally could care less about the double sub topic really

"I'm sure you would. Or rather, you wish you would. But actually you'd just be trying to pay people on time, and wouldn't have any time or breathing room to "flip around" anything."

As somebody who has been putting up with not being paid on time for over a year, all I can say is keep up the good fight.

You don't really get the true meaning of lynching, do ya? I'd add a historical picture for purposes of contrast, but I don't think it'd be very appropriate.

I don't know what the hell Captain86 is talking about but he is fast becoming the new Alloh.

Consumer culture is a little different in Australia to the US, the laws are extremely broad in favour of the consumer in no small part because of the high amount of small to medium business activity. Under the laws here when you make a representation about a product it must be true and meet the customers expectations or he/she is entitled to a full refund.

The Australian consumer laws may not apply to Vendetta online, but that doesn't change the culture. I therefore reserve the right to be frustrated as [edited -P] tyvm!

And people complain about my formatting.

Redspy is either a satisfied customer who continues to subscribe or an unsatisfied customer who keeps purchasing defective products on purpose then complains about it.
Australian law might have fun with this one.
This could be viewed as an interference with the normal operation of the business by continually purchasing product you know you will be unsatisfied with knowing you will request or be required a refund.

Anyhow as far as what I'm talking about read it again you'll figure it out.

The short version avoiding some of the non related subject matter are as follows:
I partially agreed with your suggestion and complaint but others also piled on and expressed personal dissatisfaction with the devs personally. My view is it's their business to make business decisions and the players have no risk involved with their opinionated suggestions. Facts are needed to make better decisions and/or suggestions. I support it, at least until it's available without multiple accounts. Multiboxing has benefits in many games, VO is one of them.

The simplest solution is allow us to use our own turrets.

Already proven not a game-breaker, even Devs said before it is not that hard as all modules are already present, so, why can't we use it yet?

Alloh, no one ever said that. There are caveats in attaching automated turrets to player ships, there are some logical barriers to overcome in the code design, which data is accessible by what codebase layer, how to handle latency issues with server-controlled turrets on player-controlled ships or potential risks in allowing player-clients to do their own AI.. there are a bunch of issues. In much the same way that player-capships don't have shields. The fact that we have both "capships" and "shields" does not magically allow us to mash them together. There are a lot of considerations that go into it.. we have to be able to maintain this code.

I'm not saying it's a "huge" deal, but it isn't trivial. All I ever have said is that I'm not against it.

We'll be happy to continue entertaining suggestions in the.. SUGGESTIONS FORUM. I am now locking this thread, as it's well past its expiration date.
