I was looking for the song parodies Rin and CD did a while ago. I tried lyrics, as well as names of posters, but got exactly zero relevant results. Maybe my Search-Fu just sucks even worse than I thought... this was kind of a knee-jerk thread, and can be deleted if a mod can be bothered.

Simply use Google.

Just add site:vendetta-online.com to your search term to restrict Google to search the VO website.

JJPro, you are behind the times. The forum search automatically does that now (although the old search is also available, lower on the search page). So what she's saying is that even google wasn't enough.

Though to be fair, I think one of the threads she was looking for was actually deleted. I searched very damn hard for it last night, even skimmed through most of the threads from that period of time, to no avail. The old search particularly excels at searching for single uncommon words, and even that didn't work. So I'm thinking 80% chance that thread was lost somehow.

If you can give me an idea of what you are searching for, I can have a look. It would be unusual for a thread to be completely lost.

I don't remember what the thread itself was about anymore, but I posted this parody in it. I think I'd written it in response to somebody advising a newbie against going to greyspace or something. CD might have also posted a parody of her own in that thread; I don't recall. (Not the Holding Out for a Pirate one; that was posted elsewhere.)

CD had another SmashMouth parody, "Burnin' for the Sun".

Pizza, do you have a rough idea of when that thread was? I can't find it either, and I don't recall it being the sort of thread that would be deleted. I can look where the search cannot, and a rough date would be helpful.

I made that post around May 15, 2013.
