Just a mass-update here on the last few weeks of changes, starting with today's, 1.8.548. As usual, more details are available on the News Page.

VO 1.8.548 includes:

- Enduring Content History is now included in the /charinfo menu ("k") when targeting another player.
- Players can no longer dock to stations if they have weapon fire in-flight. This includes blasters, missiles, rockets, mines, etc. Conquerable stations and capships do not have this restriction.
- No-Fire Zone violations now cause Pillar of Society standing with the given faction to be reduced to Admire after the TempKoS expires.
- Sectors with Ion Storms are now un-monitored.

VO 1.8.547 included:

- NPCs now ignore mines that are more than 1000m away from them, in non-station sectors.
- Fixed more issues with capship 'attack' and 'defend' commands, they should now stay within their weapon's firing range when attacking.
- Fixed issues with the new Character Select menu not setting focus to the correct button when it is shown.

VO 1.8.546 included:

- Enduring Titles now include a unique serial number per content type.
- Fixed issue with capship 'attack' command sometimes not working.
- Queens now attack fighters if no capships are in the area.
- Warning message regarding non-printable characters is no longer logged to the errors.log file.
- Fixed issue when attempting to enter a turret and launch from a capship at the same time.

This was asked and answered on Discord:

Regarding "- No-Fire Zone violations now cause Pillar of Society standing with the given faction to be reduced to Admire after the TempKoS expires."

The question was how much the faction was reduced. The answer was "It's just sufficient to drop from PoS to Admired."

Is it correct to say that faction will always be reduced to the maximum needed for Admired?

Yes, that is correct, it drops from PoS to the absolute top of Admired.

And what about repair modules? When you try to repair, e.g., a station guard, he will ungratefully respond using his neutron blasters. I have always wondered if this is intended behaviour.

Now, with these new NFZ restrictions and penalties introduced, it would be nice to know how using repair modules in the NFZ is going to be evaluated.

On the other hand, I think that using a repair module has never been considered violating NFZ restrictions per see.

So, I'm a little confused. Does this "Players can no longer dock to stations if they have weapon fire in-flight." - I cannot get online right now to check, but does this basically mean only capship/conc station owners will be able to do minefields now?

Seems a bit one sided.

Ohm, as answered several times, it only affects you when you have mines or other weapons in the station sector you are trying to dock at. It does not get affected by other sectors you've put mines in.

Oh ok, cool. I suppose that makes sense anyway, and since the NFZ change, mines in stations don't really get used much. Soz for asking, some of us don't have discord, so when we cannot get in game we cannot see these questions being asked. I didn't see it mentioned anywhere else on the forum.

Should the weapon-fire in flight limitation apply to Corvus station? They let you dock no matter what you do.

It was implemented specificly for corvus

to stop cowards launching spamming missiles then docking
