Try $650 including Character Studio and Reactor if you use a student discount. Or $170 for a 1-year license with student discount. And yes, I can blame him. Does he *need* to use it? Will he die without it? And if he will, then why doesn't he buy it? The only reason I can think of for him *needing* it is if he's a professional. And in that case, he'd better have a legit copy, or the BSA (or German equivalent) will come and sue him. I'm proud to say I have *no* pirated software on my computer. If I need something, I'll either find a free (legal) equivalent (e.g. OpenOffice), or I'll buy the damned thing. If it's too expensive and there's no free equivalent, I'll just go without. There is *no* moral justification for pirating.

Normally I just keep the browser on another desktop, but moved it there for the sake of a screenshot. The background is bland to be easy on the eyes, no icons anywhere, no big distractions.

No, I don't use transparent terminals. they are flashy, yes, but they aren't easy to read and that puts them off.

My 12-inch PowerBook's desktop. Keepin' it nice and clean. Generic graphite desktop background and dock at the bottom. Visible programs: iChat, Safari, iTunes, AkwaIRC, and Preview. Bonus points for anyone who can identify where the song is from. Extra bonus points for anyone who can identify from which scenes it's from in the above answer (hint: there are two).
