Gender Choice....

I looked and didnt see this posted anywhere, but maybe a way to choose our characters gender. Would really be nice and maybe I would quit hitting the news as a he/him. I wanna see ..for HER evil deeds.. pretty please :-) Of course that would mean making it retro for those of us already ingame somehow.

Aye, heh, it is kinda sexist to presume all characters in game will be male, or all those who commit evil deeds will be at least :) I tracked HER to Sedina D-14, not him :)

To elaborate :P

MysticRogue is frequently featured in the news as a bounty hunter, and when She scores a bounty, her news item should be generated from her Gender choice.

/Votes on this item

I like the idea of being able to tell who's a man and who's not, specially since MANY names (like Mystic's, to name but one) give NO idea whatsoever about their gender, and I for one want to know who I can talk down to :P

All kidding aside, I like this idea.

As long as it's a one-time checkbox, sure :P Don't want UPN going back and forth, him being a bot :P

Well I was thinking along the lines of a check box at creation and maybe some type of one time command for existing characters.

I always assumed Itanis were males, Sercos females (PMS ones obviously) and UITs the closet kind?

(I so much wish I could post anonymously for these things...)

It took me 4 months to figure out that Obsidian was female. It took a serious blow from a ClueBat™ for me to realize.

Yes please, for the dense among us, let's have an obvious indicator.

I don't mind. I could have advertised if I wanted to I guess. However I didn't see a reason and I'm not oversensitized to the he/she pronouns. I know that some players feel compelled to "correct" players that use the he/dude/guy pronoun when refering to me. I don't really mind. The fact you have to make a point about my gender as if it is of any importance is more of worry than the selecting the proper pronoun.

I'd rather a player get to know me as a character than obsess over the "gender" of my character. I have a different background than you, like most of the players.

Obsidian is gender neutral for the most part. Of course I'm more open with the players that know me better. However im my opinion Obsidian sounds like a female name.

This would be cool. Then Lebermac could finally be the women he always wanted to be...
Oct 02, 2005 jexkerome link
And tumblemonster could finally marry him. How romantic!

Serco are easy to do, just use "it". ;-p For the rest of us, though, this is a good suggestion.

(It's a joke, laugh!)
